HEY! I'M
NIK HAGIALAS
Welcome to my graphic design page! Over the years I've had the pleasure of working with numerous clients bring their visions to life through UX / UI design, logos, branding, and marketing materials. I have also developed many projects myself which needed layouts and branding as well!

Traveler's refrain
ux / ui design & vfx
As the director of Traveler's Refrain, I needed to wear many hats and to be involved with working in the Unity game engine.
In the game, I was in charge of designing how all of the UI / HUD elements would work (and integrating the navigation), as well as designing and animating all of the UI / ability VFX.
In the trailer above you can see examples of how the UI / upgrade system work (I also edited the trailer).

My artistic duties were to primarily work on character designs and animations, and to art direct. While I didn't paint all of the icons in the screenshot above, I was in charge of art directing the style to ensure the cohesion between the graphic design, and the in-game assets. I was also in charge of implementing all of the assets into the game engine.

Sheep tag 2

I was tasked to oversee all of the graphic design elements and promotional art of the RTS game, Sheep Tag 2. I worked closely with the director of the game to develop the Steam capsule art along with the logo, and created dozens of UI and HUD icons to upgrade the pre-existing prototype elements, and to create a unique style for the game.
mask of semblance card game

My business partner and I developed a small card game for print when showcasing our first video game project, Mask Of Semblance, at conventions. We thought it would be interesting to hand out "business cards" at the convention, which could also be played as a short form, 2 player card game.

I helped develop the rules and playtested the game, and was in charge of designing all of the art elements, including the character art, icons, and UI layout. Below is a video tutorial of the game:
logos and branding
I have worked with numerous clients to bring their branding to life. In the top row is a wax studio I developed a logo for, an (unused) logo treatment for the game Break Out, and a logo (and album cover) for the metal band Altered Revelations (the album also went to print).
In the bottom row are some of my personal branding designs I developed. From left to right: A personal logo representing me, a t shirt for my art community, and a banner for an art course I developed.
I have also developed a full suite of art education workbooks in the style of a pen and paper RPG. I developed all of the art, logos, and layout design.

media, graphics, and ads

Over the years I have also had the opportunity to work with "non gaming" clients to help market their businesses via graphics and ads. Some notable clients are Maytronics, the creator of the Dolphin pool cleaning robot, and Josef Rakich, world renowned bodybuilder and trainer.
